In the Search of Planet 9, NASA is Taking Help from Citizen Scientists

The scientists mark the pictures taken from the space and help NASA filter through important shots taken in space and in identifying exoplanets, Planet 9 and brown dwarf stars more effectively with the help of local scientists. Backyard Worlds: Planet 9 launches today which is project that is working with citizen scientists and everyday people who help NASA identify planets and bodies around or near our solar system that may be of interest that a computer fails to catch or identify but it can be sorted and seen manually. So, NASA believed that looking through the photos manually and taking help from citizen scientists is a faster and a reliable way to get the job done instead of trusting a computer for that.
